Today India passed a new law increasing the amount of ethanol to be blended with gasoline to 10% form 5%. They also passed a new law mandating all excess sugarcane to be converted to ethanol. Up until now Indian companies could only produce ethanol from surplus molasses. India has so much surplus cane that it was roughting around the country and sugar was at historic lows in value. Surgarcane immediately jumped 20% on the India stock market. India announced that they have to do everything possible to lower their fuel costs and ethanol is a large part of the solution

An Economic Research Service Report
United States Department of Agriculture
Agricultural Economic Report Number 721
July 1995
Estimating the Net Energy Balance of Corn Ethanol. By Hosein Shapouri, James A. Duffield, and Michael S. Graboski. U.S. Department of Agriculture, Economic Research Service, Office of Energy and New Uses. Agricultural Economic Report No. 721.
Abstract
Studies conducted since the late 1970's have estimated the net energy value of corn ethanol. However, variations in data and assumptions used among the studies have resulted in a wide range of estimates. This study identifies the factors causing this wide variation and develops a more consistent estimate. We conclude that the net energy value of corn ethanol has become positive in recent years due to technological advances in ethanol conversion and increased efficiency in farm production. We show that corn ethanol is energy efficient as indicated by an energy ratio of 1.24.
Keywords: Ethanol, net energy balance, corn production, energy security.

Venturi Fétish
Venturi Fétish
$400,000, just 25 units per year
The folks at Monaco-based Venturi Automobiles have used two strategies to overcome the problems of producing a high-performance, all-electric luxury : Manufacture only 25 units per year and charge $400,000 for ach one. The Venturi Fétish, described by the company as "the first production electric sports car in automobile history," can bolt from 0 – 60 in 4.3 seconds and reach a maximum speed of 105 mph. The physics behind this level of performance: 330 horsepower pushing a carbon-fiber vehicle weighing only 2,425 pounds
When its 100 Lithium-Ion battery packs are topped off, the Fétish can go 220 miles before needing a recharge, according to Venturi. A rapid battery charge is available, yielding about one mile of driving for every minute of juice. Venturi has taken the guesswork out of knowing how much charge is left by teaming up with Intel to create a wireless information system that remotely monitors energy status, as well as other critical data

Becky , do you remember Economic 101 , pager 1 that talked about the supply and demand , well listen to this and stay away from the dirty oil and join the green energy supports just like your handsome husband but listen to me and listen carefully to what I am about to reveal to you which would bring you plenty of money and independence from going to work every day by increasing your income from stock market in a substantial amount , last quarter VSE and AVR was buying their Corn at around 04.40 per bushel but now most of the crop is still in the fields. southern states are harvesting, but it won't be fully felt till the plains/Midwest harvests and the next quarter would be great just because the cost of all the ethanol producers would drop substantially and gain I refer you to Economic 101 and the law of supply and demand plus the cost which would reflect in the next earning quarter which is not far away and a down trend in corn can easily begin now and last through the winter. As far as ethanol goes, most goes to blending with gasoline up to 10%. As MTBE is phased out, ethanol has taken its place. In addition E85 popping up is just a bonus for demand, but will roll out further as crude keeps going up and the underlying unleaded price goes up. It makes it more economical for people to switch to E85 and for places to roll it out as demand for it increases. Wait until gas goes above 3 bucks again all over the country (there in some areas like Chicago, but a lot of areas are still in the 2.60 range). Remember crude oil is about a buck away from an all time record high. It won't take much to send it higher.
with the OPEC increase of just and only half million barrel oil a day and the report from EIA ( energy information administrations ) which is due in the morning it would be plain simple stupid not to get in to ethanol which again is at 52 weeks low for all the producers , avr , vse , peix and not to forget that the new legislations would give an extra bonuses and credit above the 50 cents credit for blending the 10 percent ethanol with gasoline , you would see the prices of the above stocks doubling the next 4 weeks starting today September 12 going to ( avr = 22 VSE =18 and peix = 17 )
MARK MY WORD

When will it happen? Not exactly sure. Oil demand by developing countries has been underestimated. Not by a little. Ethanol will soon not be a choice. Not under discussion. It will be the only alternative to tide us over until the next technology takes over. Oh yea, the crunch |

A PEG ratio is a financial ratio of a company. The PEG (price, earnings, growth) ratio compares the price/earnings ratio to the growth rate. It can be either historical rates or estimated future rates. A lower ratio is "better" and a higher ratio is "worse
PEG for VSE is 1.15
PEG for AVR is 0.66

"It's no secret anymore that for every nine barrels of oil we consume, we are only discovering one."
-The BP Statistical Review of World Energy
The world is addicted to oil. In just 8 years, it's projected the world will be consuming nearly
50,000
gallons of oil every second
By that time, the world won't be able to meet the projected demand... for one simple reason: We're using up oil at breakneck speed
And for those who look to Canada's oil sands as an answer to the Peak Oil crisis, consider this:
Once you get to the point where you burn more oil to run the pumps than a well is producing, you cut your losses and move on. That's why we're leaving so much oil in the ground. Hence the name "peak oil" or "easy oil
The world economy and the strength of the dollar, you see, are directly related to oil supplies and cost
Peak Oil is happening on a global scale... and while most of the world stand by with blinders on, savvy investors are catching on to the real news on oil

All you need to grow Algae is sunshine and salt water. This can be done in a desert without displacing food crops.
Algae can grow 100 times the fuel density as corn
Algae already contains between 20 to 40% fats that can be converted to biodiesel without having to use fractional distillation

Brazil currently devotes about 14 million acres to sugarcane production, of which about 7 million acres are for ethanol production (the remainder is for sugar production). This is about ten percent of Brazil’s current cropland acreage
About 250 million acres of degraded pastureland can be converted to sugarcane production along with the 225 million acres of savannah for a total of 475 million acres. If the entire 475 million acres are devoted to sugarcane/ethanol production (it is unlikely that all of it would be used for cane production), 310 billion gallons of ethanol would be produced annually assuming a production rate of 650 gallons per acre. This would convert into the energy equivalent of 205 billion gallons of gasoline because ethanol only has about two-thirds the energy of gasoline. By comparison the U.S. consumes about 120 billion gallons of gasoline per year
Over the next six years, a sugar ethanol plant is planned to be built every month. However, Brazil lacks the financial capacity to adequately expand its ethanol industry. Foreign investment will likely be needed for Brazil to achieve its ethanol production potential
The path to Brazil’s ethanol future will not be smooth. For example, high world sugar prices have stimulated expanded sugarcane plantings worldwide. Once planted, sugarcane produces for several years before replanting. Expectations of depressed sugar prices would shift sugarcane production to ethanol in the short term

Dear Root canal readers just remember that it is very important to invest in something that represents "green industry" than it represents a company that that offers more "green for your wallet".
I notice that the trend for PEIX is remains unchanged since
Interesting perspective... a company with no profits that relies on government subsidies, and is pumped by liberals interested in saving the planet over making a profit. but a questionable investment?
I have heard that the fact that generation and usage of ethanol creates far more green house gasses than generation and usage of gasoline might have something to do with the fact that the ethanol industry has fallen so far out of favor. Either way, like my wife says any stock that i touch would go down , so if someone wants to get rich all they have to do is to short the stocks
that i am long on and buy the stocks that i have shorted

At Blue Nile, you'll find only the finest diamonds with color graded
D-J. Diamonds graded
J or better are colorless or near-colorless — their color is typically undetectable to the unaided eye.
The color in diamonds graded
K-Z detracts from the beauty of a diamond. It's especially noticeable set in platinum or white gold.
 |
| D |
Absolutely colorless. The highest color grade, which is extremely rare. |
| E |
Colorless. Only minute traces of color can be detected by an expert gemologist. A rare diamond. |
| F |
Colorless. Slight color detected by an expert gemologist, but still considered a "colorless" grade. A high-quality diamond. |
| G-H |
Near-colorless. Color noticeable when compared to diamonds of better grades, but these grades offer excellent value. |
| I-J |
Near-colorless. Color slightly detectable. An excellent value. |
| K-M |
Noticeable color. Not carried by Blue Nile. |
| N-Z |
Noticeable color. Not carried by Blue Nile. |

Ethanol producer VeraSun Energy Corp. and Kroger Co. announced the opening of 20 E85 fueling locations at Kroger convenience stores in Ohio and Kentucky. Kroger becomes the first national retailer to offer VeraSun's branded E85, a blend of 85 percent ethanol and 15 percent gasoline for Flexible Fuel Vehicles. With the addition of the Kroger locations, VeraSun now has more than 100 retail fueling stations in 11 states and the District of Columbia selling its E85 ethanol product
Only 20 stations to offer it initially. This is probably a test. If customers don't like the fuel, Kroger
can back out.

A young bride, holding her flowers, and her new husband, in his Marine dress uniform. He had been caught in a burning vehicle and was terribly disfigured, losing virtually his entire face. I can't imagine the pain that he and she feel, or the courage they have. What must it be like for him to walk down the street, seeing the stares of strangers? What must it be like for her, knowing that he is the man she loves, but seeing the face of a stranger? What will it be like for them in 20 years, when memories of the war have faded
I have seen several people in Tehran were had fought the savage sadam army , many of these young men went to war as a volunteer to protect Iran from the horrible war that took 8 years
I have lots of respect for these guys especially the ones that are victims of Muster gas that bath party was using once they found out they can not win the war , I hold many countries especially Germany responsible for giving the Husain dictator regime the chemicals for money or other agendas that they had . I look for ward a day that no young men would die or get hurt in the wars anywhere around the world , no mater were these young men are from and whether

would suffer because of what happened to their love one. Root canal strongly condemns the wars no matter where and who started them first

We have plenty of good doctors in Iran , some of them work close to my house in pasdaran
the only issue is that the medicine sucks , they are either old and expired or just a fake kinds and could you believe some people do make a living by selling fake medicine for cancer and different kinds of chemotherapy. I have a very good friend of mine , probably the best that current is in Houston and taking care of one his close family members .our hearts and prayers go to the family of him and just god knows what is he going trough at this point , too bad that no one can do much about situations like this , I live it all in GOD hands I heard my first cancer joke the other day. I assumed that cancer jokes must exist, but I had just never heard one. It's not the easiest subject to joke about, of course. I know that when I joke about it, it can make people uncomfortable. But I do think it's important to be able to laugh about it all
When a cancer patient dies, why do they nail the coffin shut
So the doctors can't do just one more round of chemo
OK, so it's not really all that funny, although there's certainly a ring of truth to it. But I am still encouraged that someone even tried to come up with a cancer joke. I wouldn't recommend telling it at a party, for instance. But who knows, it might get big laughs in the chemo room
Cancer takes so much from our lives. I think it's important to keep it from stealing our laughter. And for all the people who don't have cancer, and who get uncomfortable, it's OK. It's just a disease. We need to be able to laugh about it, and we need you to laugh . Not the uncomfortable nervous laugh, but real laughter, the kind that makes you feel better. We'll all be better off
So have you heard this one? Two tumors walk into a bar... OK, that may be in questionable taste, but I've just always wanted to say that

Massoud has payed the hefty price of 13.65 for every stinky shares of VSE , however I will sell at 13.49 knowing the fact that today August 24 2007 the price of gas have come up over 4 cents and price of corn have come down over two cents due to the foot of Rain in Iowa which has messed up many corn farms but could you imagine what would it like be if we get a foot of rain in zahedan or yazd or around and within the vicinity of KERMAN , I know you might think of flood but could you imagine that much water would bring so much life to Kavir , but you know what , with this weird global worming and the unusual rains in some parts of the world that might come true one day and hopefully the people in charge would make the best of that one foot of rain and put all that water in to some useful agricultural produces , looking g and hoping for such a day.

You know what is funny about that Cornel study that says it takes more energy to make ethanol than it gives out? It starts with an assumption that it takes 140 gallons of fossil fuels to grow and harvest 1 acre of corn. ROFLOL. 140 gallons of gas for one acre of corn? WTF kind of combine are these farmers driving? If that were remotely true, farmers would not have made enough money to ever bother with corn in the first place. It is hilarious how pathetic some of these anti-ethanol studies are. They completely fold up under any examination
Look at this paper on gas used per acre. If you add up every possible thing you could possibly do on a farm to an acre of land with a tractor in one season, and that includes planting and harvesting both corn and beans (somehow), and you do it with three different times, with three different tractors that burn three different types of fossil fuels, you still don't hit the 140 gallon mark. http://www.ext.colostate.edu/PUBS/FARMMG

What is an Enlarging Prostate
The prostate is one of the main organs of the male reproductive system. This organ is vital for the male sex organs to develop normally.
In adult men, the prostate acts mainly to add important fluids to the semen that nourish sperm and protect them against the natural acids in the vagina. In many men, the prostate begins to grow when they are in their 50s, and it may continue to grow for the rest of their lives. An enlarged prostate is usually an “enlarging prostate” for most men over age 50, which means that if your prostate has started to grow, it may continue to grow
As the prostate grows, it puts pressure on the urethra—the tube that carries urine and semen out of the body. This increasing pressure on the urethra can lead to bothersome urinary symptoms and future problems such as surgery on your prostate
This condition is known as Enlarging Prostate, or benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). Although prostate cancer can also cause the prostate to grow, Enlarging Prostate is not a cancerous condition—it is not the same as prostate cancer, and it does not lead to cancer
Enlarging Prostate is not life threatening, but you and your doctor need to keep an eye on it so that it does not get worse
